Software Developer
Hello! I am a software engineer with a Master's degree in Computer Science. I began my professional career in 2010 and have experience with full-stack development, high performance computing, databases, dev/ops, and data analysis. I am involved with open source projects using python, cloud computing and web development. Here is a list of some of the technologies I am familiar with:
Brain imaging data processing software
The Configurable Pipeline for the Analysis of Connectomes is an open source pipeline for high throughput processing of fMRI data using high performance and cloud computing.
Repository of tasks for assessing cognitive function
Open Cog Lab is a repository of openly shared computerized experiments for assessing cognitive function (e.g. working memory, sustained attention) and neurofeedback.
Workshop website
Brainhack is a collaborative workshop for brain science. I helped develop the main website brainhack.org and websites for the specific events, (e.g., Brainhack global 2017, Vienna 2016 and LA 2016).
Music generator
This project uses principles of music, unsupervised learning and signal processing to generate music from functional MRI data. It is described in the publication: Generating music with resting-state fMRI data
2008 - 2012
Computer Science BA at PUCRS. My final project was "Resources allocation in IT projects using genetic algorithms"
2010 - 2011
Developed front and back-end components of a large-scale web portal system for a state-owned company. Worked with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies following agile methodology.
2011 - 2013
Developed database, front-end and back-end components of a web portal using Microsoft .NET technology.
2013 - 2015
Masters in computer science at PUCRS. My dissertation project, Feature selection for neuroimaging applied to word-category identification in dyslexic children, involved the analysis of fMRI data to identify patterns of brain activity associated with reading impairments.
2015 - 2017
Worked as a scientific programmer and data analyst implementing tools for performing high throughput analysis of brain imaging data using high performance and cloud computing. I also supported several open science projects for sharing data and scientific collaboration.
My publications are listed on Google Scholar and my software projects are on Github.
